Ingredients
For khoya/ Kova
- 1 tbsp Ghee or butter
- 1 cup milk powder
- ¼ cup thickened cream
- ½ cup milk
For Sugar Syrup:
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 1 cup water
- 3 cardamom, powdered
For Kala Jamun:
- ½ cup of Panner
- 1 cup khoya / Kova
- ¼ of cup maida
- One pinch of baking soda
- 1-2 tbsp water as required
- oil for deep frying
for stuffing:
- 2 tbsp almonds, chopped
- one pinch of red food color
- 1 tbsp saffron water
- 2 tbsp cashews, chopped
Instructions:
- In a large mixing bowl take crumbled paneer.
- mash the paneer till it becomes a smooth dough.
- Now add prepared khoya and mix well.
- add maida and combine it with paneer khoya mixture.
- add a pinch of baking soda and water if required to get a moisture.
- mix it gently to form a smooth dough.
- also prepare to stuff by mixing dry fruits and a saffron water, color with prepared dough. make it to small size balls.
- place the prepared dry fruit ball in center.
- heat the ghee on low flame and fry the Jamun.
- fry it still the balls turns the black color.
- drop the hot Kala Jamun into a hot sugar syrup.
- Leave it for 2 hours.
- finally, serve Kala Jamun.
